Senior LANDesk Engineer | Cary, NC | Contract Opportunity
This position is responsible for all aspects of the LANDesk Management System and analysis across the global enterprise (3000+ managed devices). This individual will provide technical and functional LANDesk expertise across a broad range of platforms and technologies and as such must have a broad range of technical knowledge and experience. This position is responsible for coordinating LANDesk Management system processes such as OS deployment, provisioning, license auditing, security patch & compliance of corporate, all field devices, and reconciling and auditing the internal LANDesk inventory database to eliminate discrepancies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
       Responsible for all aspects of LANDesk Management Suite (LDMS), LANDesk Security Suite (LDSS), LANDesk Data Analytics (LDDA), and LANDesk Cloud Services Appliance (CSA)
       Ensure complete & accurate systems and software Discovery & Inventory In accordance with standards; facilitate software licensing monitoring & management
       Maintain Self Service Portal
       Facilitate Mobile Device Management capabilities
       Define and facilitate Policy Enforcement
       Ensure standards and build specifications are consistently applied and maintain Software Distribution environment
       Ensure Remote Control functionality
       Define, create and support OS Imaging, Provisioning and post deployment activities including Hardware-Independent Provisioning

       Responsible for Patch Management activities on workstations, and servers
       Define, create and support Application Blocking

Title                 : Windows Engineer
Location           : Goodlettsville, TN
Duration           : Long Term Contract

Must be very Strong with Active Directory,  VMWare & Citrix.

Delivery & Operations:
·         Provide L3 helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction.
·         Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to service requests received through the IT helpdesk.
·         Serve as escalation point for issue resolution for WINTEL L2 resources and unresolved WINTEL L2 helpdesk tickets.
·         Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to all WINTEL queues to ensure timely and effective resolution. Work with the Service Desk Manager to ensure requests are routed to the proper resource in order to be resolved quickly and efficiently.
·         Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications, and respond accordingly through service tickets.
·         Identify and document off internal procedures for tasks that could be performed by WINTEL L2.  Hand off procedures to WINTEL L2 and monitor for effectiveness.
·         Serve as a liaison to between WINTEL L3 onshore and WINTEL L2 offshore to ensure proper support and operational documents and procedures are being followed and updated.
·         Daily verification of WINTEL backups and troubleshooting of related issues.
·         Manage server inventory including provisioning and decommissioning servers in the datacenter and remote locations.
·         Open support cases and drive issues to resolution with vendors when needed.
·         Weekly review of PCI compliance reports and platforms to ensure patching and baseline security compliance.
·         Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Lync, SharePoint, etc.
·         Support services for virtualization technologies: VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft
·         Support services for hardware technologies: Intel x86, Cisco UCS, and virtual switching infrastructure.
·         Support services for network and end user related technologies: DNS, WINS, file shares, logon scripts, group policy, authentication technologies, etc.

Domain Expertise

The desired candidate should have 8+ years of experience encompassing the below technologies
