Role: NetBackup/ EMC Networker
Location: Fort
Collins, CO/ Allentown, PA
Duration: Contract
Key Responsibilities
·
complete
migration of Symantec netback environment to EMC Networker backup environment.
·
Implementation
and administration of backup environments running on EMC Networker and Backup Exec environments
for multiple clients
·
Experience
with EMC DPA (Data Protection Adviser) required
·
Demonstrate
a high degree of creativity in performing tasks by identifying, proposing and
implementing streamlining activities to reshape technology and processes
·
Handle
technical escalations from Level 1 and Level 2 teams
·
Troubleshoot
deep technical issues in backup environments running on the mentioned tools
& technologies to resolution
·
Evaluate
and analyze the backup reports and backup performance
·
Propose
and implement backup improvement initiatives to enhance backup performance
& backup success rates
·
Handle
the responsibilities of being a technical interface for specific clients
·
Installation
and configuration of new backup environments using the above mentioned tools
·
Migration
of backup systems from one backup
enviromments to another & older version to new version
·
Conduct
periodic performance analysis and fine tune the overall backup performance
·
Execute
incident management, change management and problem management in line with ITIL
standards
·
Communicate
project status, client updates etc.
·
Provide
weekly and monthly status reports on projects
·
Track
backup systems capacity and propose appropriate measures proactively
·
Work
with other cross-functional teams to provide seamless Service Delivery
·
Communicate
issues and solutions that may impact the team.
·
Excellent
written and oral communication skills
·
Should
have worked in a remote support environment
·
Ability
to clearly articulate situations / issues to cross-functional teams and
clients.
Preferred
·
Migration
of Symantec NETBACK backup environment to EMC Networker Back environment
·
Good
Understanding of SAN Management Apps, EMC Isilon & Cisco SAN Manager Tool
