Network Security Engineer – L3

Los Angeles, CA

Contract / FTE

Responsibilities:

·         Perform the duties of the shift lead for the relevant Service tower, act as SME  for various related disciplinary topics as they relate to the Service Tower, perform overall quality review. Reviews adherence to SLAs

·         Tracks & updates key performance metrics as needed

·         Provides advanced level security network implementation, documentation and troubleshooting. Responsible for technical management of advanced networking hardware and circuitry

·         Provides network security services support at an advanced level to application developers, end-users and other operational personnel.

·         Resolves  client business network security problems through research, network installation and customization, network security administration and network management support.

Relevant Experience:

·         3-5+ Years of experience as a Shift Lead for data security networking (Level 2 and above) on enterprise scale networks.

·         2+ years working with the following technologies and product sets:

·         Cisco Data networking & Security including Cisco PIX, ASA and any Connect SSL VPN.

·         Juniper Firewall (SRX/ Netscreen) and secure access  (Juniper SA SSL VPN) and Junos Space Management systems.

·         Palo Alto Network Next-gen firewalls including Panorama Management.

·         Big IP F5 Load Balancers (LTM & GTM)

·         Familiar with logging analysis systems such as Orion & Splunk

·         Familiar with High Connect Media Delivery system such as Signiant & Aspera

·         In-Depth knowledge of IPSEC VPN

Skills:

·         Strong Project coordination skills

·         Strong relationship management and negotiation sills

·         Strong Verbal and written communication skills

·         Strong Analytical skills

·         Strong knowledge of Load Balancing Design & Principles

·         Strong knowledge of Firewall Architecture, DMZ Design etc

·         Juniper / Cisco / Palo Alto/ Firewall hardware experience required

·         Big IP F5 hardware experience required for LTM & GTM

·         3 Years customer interaction

Required Certification/ Licenses:

·         Cisco (CCNA), Juniper (JNCIS-ENT)

·         Palo Alto (ACE), Big IP F5
