Essential
Skills Required:
- The candidate should have
enterprise level expertise with security-related topics such as
authentication, auditing, compliance, identity management, data
protection, data leakage prevention, certificate management, encryption,
hashing, defense in depth, principle of least privilege, software attacks,
etc.
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in managing
various firewall technologies including Checkpoint and Cisco and
associated modules. Ideal candidate also has experience in Meraki
security appliances as well as Barracuda NG/WAFS and F5 LTM/ASM.
- Experience with multiple Proxy technologies, including
Bluecoat ProxySG/AV, ZScaler, and Microsoft ISA/TMG.
- Experience evaluating threats, performing risk
assessment, and creating remediation plans. Ideal candidate would
have experience with Nexpose vulnerability scanner.
- Expert knowledge of
TCP/IP protocol stack, network analysis tools, load balancing
technologies, and network services (DNS, DHCP, IPSec, SNMP, etc)
- Ability to conduct detailed packet capture analysis to
troubleshoot issues (Wireshark, Netmon, TCPDump, etc).
- Candidate must have
expert experience in routing and switching and be comfortable working with
numerous Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies (802.1q, QoS, Multicast, OSPF,
BGP, EIGRP, etc.)
- Ability to act as an advisor to other teams on security
related topics, including recommending best practices for securing
networks, servers, databases, and applications.
- Ability to lead and develop the technical skills of the
L1/L2 engineers on the team. Candidate will also be responsible for
generating SOP’s to transition common tasks to lower level engineers.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills are
required.
- CISSP, CEH, or CISM certification preferred.
