Position:          Messaging - SMTP / L3

Location:         Jacksonville FL

Job Type:         Contract

Duties & Responsibilities:     

·         Management and operation of group SMTP Backbone which includes

·         SMTP Internet gateways

·         Email Gateway anti-spam and anti-virus products

·         Email distribution list manager

·         Cyrus based IMAP service

·         SMIME email encryption gateways

·         Working with internal and external entities:

·         Working with vendors and service providers to resolve software/hardware problems on SMTP Backbone Infrastructure

·         Working with external organization to resolve problems with sending receiving emails

·         Working with group IT Security, Internal Audit, Compliance and Governance teams

·         Drive projects related to

·         Process improvement

·         Proactive operational and infrastructure risk mitigation

·         IT Audit requirements

·         People skills

·         Team Work

·         Structured upward & downward communication

·         Coaching skills

·         Communication skills

·         Good command in English

·         Ability to work with diverse global teams

Experience / Requirements:

·         Experience of 5 to 10 years working with SMTP email gateways and related infrastructure running on Linux/Unix platform.

Desired 

·         Familiarity with SMTP protocol

·         Expert knowledge on open source and commercial implementations of Sendmail

·         Sentrion appliances and Mail Stream Manager policy engine

·         Proofpoint anti spam appliances

·         Domain name service, specifically ISC bind

·         Familiarity with Cyrus IMAP

·         Familiarity with OpenLDAP

·         Working knowledge on PKI, TLS/SSL Certificate management

·         SMIME based email encryption and familiarity with Totemo appliances

·         Working knowledge on OpenSSL tool kit for Unix/Linux

·         Familiarity with Unix/Linux Operating Systems (SuSE Linux, CentOS and Solaris preferred)

·         Familiarity with Unix TCP/IP networking

·         Mailman open source list manager

·         Familiarity with Unix scripting languages (Perl, shell, Python)

·         Basic administration of PostgreSQL

·         Basic knowledge on Apache web server

Good to Have

Essential Technical Skills:

·         Exposure to the ‘People Management’ responsibilities

·         Experience with MS Exchange 2007 or newer

·         Certification:- ITIL ( Basics )

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·         Working knowledge of IT applications and infrastructure technology
