Informatica Developer
Location: Woodlawn, MD
Duration: 06 Months
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop an effective, robust Data Integration capabilities using Informatica Big Data solution and Hadoop Big Data Techniques in a Data Warehouse settings
- Design and implement complex data transformation processes and algorithms
- Ensure that the ETL design includes restart-ability, error handling and audit throughout ETL processes
- Conduct ETL / DW optimization, troubleshooting and debugging
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data through thorough analysis and unit testing
- Identify opportunities in business processes, system capabilities and delivery methodologies for continuous improvement
- Work closely with the Architects, Business Analysts and developers in a team setting to ensure that requirements are taken into confidence while designing effective Data Integration solutions
- Design and develop test plans for ETL unit testing and integration testing
- Develop mappings to load data from multiple data sources to target
- Deliver timely and effective technical assistance and troubleshooting when issues arise
- Design and develop sustainable and performance efficient ETL work flows to support those requirements.
- Create technical design documents that capture source to target mapping, define transformation algorithms, and document data quality rules.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree with 7-10+ years of experience in Informatica Development
- 6+ years of full time experience in Informatica Server administration in the areas of installation, back up repository, configure setting/performance tuning, and metadata management
- 5+ years of hands on experience in architecting the end-to-end data ingestion workflow
- 5+ year knowledge of Informatica tools such as data integration, data profiling and Data quality and hands on experience developing ETL processes using Informatica Power Center ETL Designer
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in supporting administration and configuration of Informatica Server in Linux OS
- Read, write, and maintain SQL statements. Solid hands on experience in troubleshooting and perform tuning of Informatica ETL solutions
- Solid understanding of Informatica advanced security protocols Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, and Repository Manager
