Role: Senior Oracle DBA
Location: Oaks, PA

Job Description:
•             provide leadership oversight of workflow for inquires, issues, project requests and changes for production, pre-production environments
•             Manage system issues, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and replication
•             Work independently  and collaboratively with development support teams to resolve complex Oracle issues
•             Run diagnostic tools to identify database performance bottlenecks, and take appropriate corrective actions to improve database performance
•             Work with development teams to tune SQL queries
•             Proactive monitoring of the databases
•             Troubleshoot Oracle performance and non-performance related issues either independently or in conjunction with other DBAs
•             Manage backup/recovery for Oracle instances
•             Implement and enforce database security based upon best practice, corporate and regulatory policies
•             Provide detailed root cause analysis and suggest workarounds and/or solutions for recurring issues
•             Provide support for all stages of database implementation and/or database related deployments
•             Maintain database architectures and strategies to ensure performance, availability, integrity and security of client databases
•             Monitor and improve database performance and capacity utilization to provide high database availability and redundancy
•             Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Oracle databases

Skills & experience required
             A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of IT and Oracle database administration
•             Knowledge of ITIL processes (incident and change management)
•             Knowledge and experience in scripting language (ksh, Perl, etc.)
•             Oracle 11G database administration and management on Linux environments
•             Oracle Database Tuning and Performance - usage of AWR, ADDM, ASH, and UNIX native commands
•             Hands on experience in managing RAC and ASM
•             Provide technical expertise to development and deployment teams on integration/configuration of supporting infrastructure
•             Install, configure and administer Oracle servers, including the design, configuration and operation of n-node clusters, data recovery, and user/group/role definition
•             Extensive hands on experience with Oracle RAC & HA
•             Implement patches, updates, and fixes as necessary following established Change Management processes
•             Coordinate with the Storage team in configuration of provisioned storage resources
•             Coordinate with the Network team in configuration of provisioned data communication services
•             Provide input to and follow standards and best practices as defined by the vendor.
•             Working experience with replication technologies like Oracle Streams,  CDC or Golden Gate
•             Develop scripts/utilities to automate repetitive tasks, i.e. backups, refreshes, failover

•             Expert knowledge of Oracle database management  and administration
