Security Systems Administrator (Physical Security, Security Management)

Responsibilities:
·
The
Technical Security Systems Administrator (SysAdmin) is responsible for the
administration of the Access Control and Video Surveillance systems, and other
associated security systems at the various corporate locations. This
individual will also provide assistance to corporate sites when needed and
participate in the After Hours On-Call rotation. The SysAdmin works closely
with the internal clients and external vendor, Facilities and Security Project
Management and Technical Operations. The primary purpose of this position
is to provide a professional who has an effective level of security systems
knowledge, i.e., security systems, document control and vendor management and
project coordination management. This position will fully support the
physical security systems business operations at client, which includes the
implementation of best practices for security systems tools that fully support
the client’s visions. Additionally, the Technical Security Systems
Administrator will also be responsible for providing direction and guidance to
the client security systems vendors, globally.
In
this context you will be responsible for the following:

Administer
Physical Security systems in a manner consistent with the guidelines, methods,
and operating policies set forth by the company.

Provide
low-level DBA support where necessary to manage Physical Security systems.
·
This
Individual will monitor the state of the systems vendor contracts and the
performance of the systems vendors, will be the first level of escalation for
resolution of issues, and will provide associated recommendations to Security
Management when management action or contractual changes/modifications are
required.

Provide L3 level support to internal clients and vendors specific
to Physical Security systems.
·
Keep
security management updated on the status of Physical Security systems projects
and issues, making sure any security vulnerabilities are communicated promptly.
Provide mitigation solutions for these issues.

Ensure
that Physical Security Systems Operating Procedures and processes are
well documented, kept current, and published to the security staff.
·
Ensure
troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair needs are addressed and/or assigned to
security systems vendors in a timely manner, tracking the satisfactory
resolution of all issues.
·
Contribute
to the security systems development strategy and provide recommendations to
Security Management on the ongoing development of the Physical Security Systems
Program, including the technology to be utilized.
·
Oversee
client vendor installations and upgrades of security equipment to ensure quality
and satisfactory completion of vendor work product and to ensure that corporate
installation standards have been achieved.
·
Ensure
all Testing and Quality Assurance programs are appropriately administered.
·
Maintain
an accurate inventory of client’s Physical Security systems components and
spare parts.
·
Accomplish
other security systems tasks as assigned by
management.
