Job Description:
Role/Team Summary:
Client is looking for a Senior Network Consultant that will provide technical and consultative leadership on a complex IT consulting engagements. This project may include analyzing requirements, implementation, customization, integration, and documentation for the customer. Key responsibilities include successful execution of all consulting engagements including evaluating customers' strategic business issues, identifying requirements, creating business case justifications, Steady state Operation and proposing appropriate enterprise solutions. Applicant needs to be capable of leading a team in global delivery model and knowledge of the industry best practices in the implementation of complex technical solutions.

Role specific responsibilities:
•             10 -15 years of network engineering, management and design experience.
•             Ability to be available on-call 24x7 every other week and respond within 15 minutes. That includes weekend and holidays.
•             Responsible for architecting and driving the tactical implementation and support of all network and telecommunications hardware, software and related equipment in an environment requiring 24x7x365 availability.
•             Experience in handling large enterprise network.
•             Excellence in IP, TCP, SNA, Ethernet, telecommunications, TDM, packetized voice application, and theory of operations (required).
•             Experience in network monitoring and management, SLA management, and mapping technology solutions to business requirements.
•             Excellent written and oral communication, including the ability to confidently present to all levels of management.
•             Proficient understanding of IP networking: Cisco, TCP/IP, Network Security, Cloud Servers that includes technical and functional understanding of network security, VOIP, WAN, LAN, and internet routing and switching protocols, wireless and VPN capabilities.
•             Demonstrated Data Center/Server Room build out experience (Power, Network, Cooling, etc.)
•             Experience working for a company governed by SOX guidelines.
•             Eager to work in a highly collaborative team environment, with a demonstrated ability to lead by example and drive the team to high performance.
•             Detailed oriented, analytical mindset, highly effective at decision making.
•             Results-driven, process oriented, and always serving as an advocate for our end users.
•             Planning POC tests for new Products/technologies before taking directly to Production.
•             Analyze system functions and failures to isolate and define problem areas.
•             Monitor and maintain infrastructure stability (KPI’s).
•             Prepare and maintain documentation of IT Infrastructure.
•             Maintain Infrastructure equipment inventory and manage hardware life-cycle.
•             Establish and/or maintain corporate IT infrastructure standards in regards to configuration and security.
•             Make sure IT governance, audit and compliance requirements are meet.
•             Continuously improve, document, implement and manage standardized policies and procedures for areas of responsibility.

Essential Experience: (Must have skills)
•             Significant Experience on Cisco Routers/Switches e.g. Cisco 6500 Series, 7600 Series, 7200 Series, 3700 Series, 3600 Series, 2900 Series as well as Cisco ASR & ISR series of Routers.
•             Implementing Switching for Campus/DC LAN with Redundancy and proper Traffic flow/Link load planning with Protocols like STP, RSTP, HSRP, VRRP etc.
•             Implementing Routing for Large Enterprises/WAN with Protocols like OSPF, BGP, EIGRP etc.
•             Implementing necessary Security with Network Routers and Switches.
•             Implementing QoS in Networks for Voice/Video services and other latency and bandwidth sensitive applications.
•             Good knowledge of Service provider technologies like MPLS VPN, Layer 2 VPN etc. to incorporate these into Enterprise WAN connectivity.
•             Knowledge of implementing WLAN network for Campus and Branch offices.
•             Good knowledge of Implementing WAN Optimization Products e.g. Riverbed Steelhead Appliance, CMC, Mobile Controllers etc.
•             Implementing Load-Balancers e.g. F5 LTM appliance.
•             Good Knowledge of building Datacenter environments using Nexus Series of switches like 7000, 5000 & 2000.
•             Working Knowledge of emerging Datacenter technologies like VDCs, vPC, OTV, Fabric Path, FCoE etc.
•             Working knowledge on Nexus Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switching using NX-OS VLANs, Trunking, Port-channeling, Routing Protocols, and VRFs etc.
•             Working knowledge of packet capture and analysis tools.

Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills)
•             Good understanding of PCI compliance
