Role: Oracle DBA (RAC / 11g)

Locations: Cincinnati, OH & Atlanta, GA

Job Function:

·         Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle software (RAC & Non RAC) and related products

·         Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing and production usage

·         Plans/implements/Maintain backup and recovery of the Oracle database

·         Manages Database upgrades/Migrations

·         Patch Management and Version Control

·         Setup and maintain documentation and standards

·         Evaluates Oracle releases, its tools and third party products to ensure secured & reliable environments

·         Planning and co-ordination with Internal and External teams, to ensure zero impact due to new product or release upgrades

·         Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.

·         Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)

·         Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support for critical issues

·         Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team

·         Analyzes and proactively plans for Capacity

·         Interface with related product vendors for technical support

Qualifications:

Primary Skills:

·         8+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (8x/9i/10g/11g/12c)

·         4+ years of experience in Installation and Configuring the Oracle Database 10g/11g/12c RAC

·         Experience in Oracle Enterprise manager configuration and grid console

·         Database refreshes/Upgrades/Migrations

·         Experience on Performance tuning tools like AWR,ADDM,ASH, Stats packs

·         Data guard configuration

·         Experience in RMAN Oracle backup & recovery

·         Excellent in database health checks, Troubleshooting & diagnosing critical issues

·         Experience in working Linux/Unix environment

·         Strong in shell scripting

·         Good team player with abilities to work in larger teams

Desired Skills:

·         Experience in managing Oracle 8i/9i/10g/11g/12c databases

·         Experience in managing Oracle 10g/11g/12c RAC environment

·         Good knowledge of the operating system(s)/Storage/Network

·         Appling one-off/CPU/PSU patches

·         Performance tuning

·         RMAN Backup & recovery

·         Experience managing Oracle Enterprise Manager

·         Unix scripting

·         Ability to work in a professional manner, be flexible and handle interactions with all levels of the organization and with external clients.

·         Self-directed, organized, and motivated.

·         Excellent Verbal/Written communication skills

Qualification(s):

        BS/MS in Computer Science or related Engineering Field

        Expert/Professional level Oracle Certifications
