Title of Position: Sr. MS SQL Server DBA
Location: : Cary, NC
Duration: Long Term
Employment: Contract
Rate: $Negotiable
Description
· 8+ years of experience in Database Administration and support in MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2008R2 and 2012 environments.
· 2 + years of Experience in SQL Server Clustering
· Hand in experienced for implementation of HA options like Log Shipping, Mirroring and Replication and Clustering
· Having Experience in SQL server service pack and security patches installation.
· Having Experience in Automating Database Maintenance Plans.
· Good Experience in scheduling SQL Server Agent Jobs, Alerts and automating scripts.
· Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Database mirroring, Replication.
· Having knowledge of Profiler , DTS, SSIS packages and experience in SSAS,SSRS
· Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
· Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
· Documentation skills for processes and procedures ( creating KBs, run-books etc. )
· Excellent communication & coordination skills are required.
