Role Summary/Purpose
As the Salesforce.com (SFDC)/Commercial Excellence IT leader, you will be responsible for providing Salesforce.com technology strategy, platform expertise and delivery of program initiatives across Energy Management’s SFDC instances.
You will partner with EM P&L IT and Commercial Excellence teams to fully leverage SFDC platform and tools capabilities to drive process excellence and improve the commercial team productivity.
Essential Responsibilities
This role will:
· Define and drive IT technology strategy across the 4 EM salesforce.com platforms and integrated SFDC applications across Energy Management; including identification of technology synergies, re-use and/or simplification opportunities
· Work with Corporate SFDC COE teams on Corp-led SFDC initiatives – incl. impact assessment and approach/timing planning to leverage reference architecture/designs across EM instances
· Lead and manage planning, design, architecture, development, testing and production migration cycles for EM-wide SFDC and/or bolt-on application deployments
· Own SFDC program support activities: internal program and platform related communications, technology road maps, and EM and Corp metrics
· Partner with EM P&L teams to design and deliver P&L specific SFDC solutions, while ensuring no detrimental effect to other P&L’s in the shared instance
· Develop deep SFDC platform functionality and commercial process expertise –apply knowledge to help P&L teams define optimized process & technology solutions
· Define approach and drive salesforce.com certification program to build internal expertise across EM teams as part of GE IT-wide insourcing efforts
· Key point of contact for SFDC vendor-relationship – establish operating rhythm, and escalation plans across matrixed EM team; understand and communication platform impacts & technology roadmap information across EM teams
· Drive agile SFDC delivery process and tools framework, to ensure highest quality code, and first-time-right deployment for projects and enhancements across main EM SFDC instances
· Manage global team of contracted resources to effectively deliver and support solutions
· Effectively communicate (i.e. status, issues, and escalations) to leadership and other various levels of the organization
Qualifications / Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related areas.
· 7+ years leading global, cross-functional IT programs
· Minimum 3 years leading Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM systems project deployments
· Strong leadership, influencing and team building skills
· Proven track record of effectively prioritizing and solving operational and strategic issues and delivering high quality IT implementations on schedule and budget
· Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills - ability to establish a rapport with the business stakeholders, energize large global teams, and drive the Change Acceleration Process (CAP)
· Ability to effectively communicate complex issues, alternatives and decisions across all levels of the organization
Desired Characteristics
· Salesforce.com Sales Cloud consultant or Service Cloud Consultant certification
· Experience with an Agile Development methodology
· Scrum Master certification.
