Role : Windows VMware Consultant
Location : Jacksonville, FL.
Duration : Long Term.
Employment: Contract.
Rate: $Negotiable
Required Skills:
· 6+ years MS Windows (2003, 2008 and 2012) Server Administration experience in a big enterprise environment 100+ physical or virtual servers.
· Onsite experience of working directly with client.
· Well versed with Server build, Hardening and Migration process.
· Responsible for installing and maintaining the server systems for all production systems.
· Installs, test, upgrade, and configure system files and services to enhance performance.
· Provide support for core server functionality as well as DNS, DHCP, DFS, WINS.
· Perform server implementation including installing and supporting new or rebuilding existing servers.
· Proficiency in Virtualization (Vmware or HyperV) - Administration and Troubleshooting. Willing to learn HyperV
· configure hardware (physical and virtual), clusters, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and project / operational requirements.
· Responsible for building and administering virtual servers and workstations in a Virtual environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft SCVMM 2008/2012
· Hands on Servers ( HP/DELL/HP/IBM) Work independently and as a member of a team of consultants on engagements with customers.
· Hands On Experience in DELL Enclosures
· Solid understanding of vendor hardware architecture, high availability design, fabric topologies, storage and networking protocols and RAID levels.
· Server and storage array based I/O performance analysis and troubleshooting skills
· Experience in Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and XenApps 6.0, 6.5
· Experience with Active Directory and related technologies including DHCP, DNS, WINS, DFS, Microsoft System Center Suite, etc.
· Experience with Backup/Storage technologies in Commvault, E-Vault, Symantec Backupexec, Netbackup and TSM backup.
· Experience in Fiber storage and fiber switch configuration.
· Experience with Vendor Management at the Operational Level
· Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
· Performance and/or network trace analysis for Servers
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Rollout new systems and technologies in line with global standards.
· Knowledge of and adherence to ITIL and PMI best practices.
· Project level planning and implementation experience.
· Problem determination and resolution within SLA's
· Should be able to Perform Root Cause Analysis for the incidents
· Capable of Handling technical escalations
· Ability to acquire new skills & keep them updated. E.g HyperV
· Work with Local & Global Teams
· Independently generates solutions based on analytical, technical skills and business knowledge
· Mentor and train other team members
