Position : Network Engineer
Base Location : Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities and Qualifications
Selected Responsibilities
· Setup, Configure, and Support internal and/or external Networks and Maintain all systems, Applications, security, and Network Configurations (data and voice Network)
· Research, analyze, Design, test, and implement Data & Voice Networks systems
· Perform Network design Upgrades and Hardware reconfigurations
· Provide technical support to network Service Desk or customer operations, if requested
· Assist with Network studies, traffic analyses and the preparation of forecasts
· Recommend modifications to the Network Configurations that reduce costs or improve service
· Provide expert level hands on Network infrastructure Support for the enterprise-wide data communications network
· Perform Installation, Configuration, Maintenance and operation of Network equipment, Cabling system, Monitoring Software and specialty Appliances
· Resolve networking issues involving complex Configuration and technical depth
· Recommend, Design and implement solutions for data Network Projects
· Perform resource based Capacity planning and management for Network systems
· Collaborate with security team to identify ways to improve network security
· Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercise activities
· Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
· Manage one or more Network administration projects
· Design and implement local and Wide Area Network solutions, including security, Capacity planning, backup and recovery and disaster planning
· Experienced with technical architecture planning, deployment, and troubleshooting
· Able to manage a team of technicians and specialists and to serve as the last level of support in troubleshooting network usage and equipment
· Manage multiple network administration projects
· Participate in internal & external audit activities
Qualifications
· BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems Management, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
· > 7 years of experience with Certification such as CNE, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, CCVP, CCIE and others desired
· Experience working in large network environments (10,000+ nodes) with Cisco, Juniper or Aruba networking equipment
· Advanced understanding of common network protocols including SNMP, RIP, IPS, EIGRP
· Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, WhatsUP Gold, CiscoWorks)
· Expert knowledge of internet, intranet and extranet systems design (security, content management, eCommerce, web and application servers)
· Expert knowledge of replication, backup and disaster recovery design
· Expert knowledge of system sizing, capacity planning and performance tuning, and storage and area network architecture
