SCCM Administrator to provide support to the existing SCCM infrastructure and its users thereof. Primary responsibilities of this position include proactive and reactive investigation to all aspects of Configuration Manager including; agent configuration and communication, site configuration and communication, patch management, application packaging and distribution, operating system deployment (OSD), IT system security related issues etc.
· To monitor manage and support the globally deployed SCCM infrastructure
· Implementation of changes, enhancements and fixes
· Troubleshoot all areas of SCCM as required
· Maintenance of enterprise level Configuration Management functions
· Understanding the End User Computing environment and suggest changes and improvements to fit
· Analyse the current enterprise configuration management implementation and provide a status report before and after remediation actions are engineered and executed
· Analyse SCCM log files, provide patch management support, and off-hours maintenance window operations
· Troubleshoot sites experiencing configuration management problems
· Must have packaged applications for Windows XP\Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 OS platform.
· Must understand and have used one of the following: Windows Command Shell Script, VBScript, or PowerShell.
· Expertise in Virtualizing applications through sequencing is desired.
· Expertise in shimming is desirable, but not required.
· Must understand a standard packaging process and workflow.
· Must understand MSI packaging best practices and standards.
· Must have an understanding of software deployment leveraging Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
· Must have knowledge of desktop deployments for Windows platforms.
· Document issues and resolutions using the Cherwell Ticket Management system
· Provide monthly activity reports describing activities accomplished
· Interface effectively both orally and written with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists.
