Role: Sr. Storage Engineer / Solution Architect
Location: Mountain View, CA
Contract
Storage Architect / Systems Solution Engineer (Cloud, Virtualization, OpenStack etc.)
As Solution Engineer you will be responsible to put together and validate end-to-end configurations (operating system, database, application, virtualization, cloud, SAN configuration, storage array configuration, replication etc.) based on customer requirements, specifically with respect to private and public cloud environments (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack as well as public cloud environments). The role will span from customer interaction through to engineering.
Responsibilities will include:
Putting together, testing and validating all flash storage array products in the desired configurations
Testing with respect to private and public cloud environments (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack as well as public cloud environments)
Customer focus: Directly working with customers, helping them design their database application environment around all flash storage array product. Learn key insights and requirements from these customers that will feed into the development process.
Requirements and Desired Skills:
Highly-technical, hands-on with good knowledge of operating systems and storage. Desired skills include:
Experience with Linux, Windows and Unix environments as well as virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack) a must along with exposure to public cloud environments
Experience administering enterprise storage arrays (EMC, NetApp, etc.)
Experience with Fibre Channel and IP networking highly desired
