Senior Network Engineer (Data)

Contract

Role Definition::          

·         Perform the Duties of the Shift lead for the relevant Service Tower act as the subject Matter expert for various related disciplinary topic as they relate to the service tower perform overall quality review. Review adherence to SLA’S

·         Tracks and update key performance metrics as needed

·         Provide update level key Data network implementation, document and troubleshooting. Responsible for technical management and advanced networking hardware and circulatory

·         Provide network service support at an advance level to application level developer, End-user and other operational personal

·         Resolve client business network problem through research, network installation, and customization network administrator and network management support

Relevant Experience::

·         3+year experience on as a shift lead for data networking (level 2 and above)

·         5+ year working experience with the following technologies:

o    Routing protocol

o    EIGRP

o    OSPF and

o    BGP

·         Cisco routing and switching (emphasis on Nexus 2k/5k/7k,3800 and 4500 )

·         HP switching and comware OS

·         Riverbed WAN Optimization

·         Aruba wireless Network

·         Aruba Airwave

·         Solarinds Orion Monitoring tools

3 + year experience with   the following technologies

1-    Palo Alto Network Firewall

2-    Juniper Firewall

3-    Cisco SSL secure access

4-    DNS/ DHCP (Infoblox  preference)

5-    F5 load Balance

Education / Skill Required

·         Education :: (Bachelor’s Degree) from accredited University

Skill ::

·         Strong Project coordination Skills

·         Strong relationship management and negotiable skills

·         Strong Vernal and written communication Skill

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Strong ability to interpret impact of technology choices

·         Strong Knowledge of UNIX and Microsoft Operational System

·         Strong Knowledge of integration voice and Data system

·         Strong Knowledge of internet Technologies, design and operational

·         Strong Knowledge of LAM/WAN infrastructure, topologies and protocol

·         Strong Knowledge of current IT infrastructure trends

·         Strong Knowledge of network security and management framework

Cisco LAN/WAN hardware experience is required

Role Description

Technical Requirement

 Technical troubleshooting/ designing/ Optimization  experience on following (Minimum 4 – including 2 from mandatory)

• Experience with Juniper Routers - mandatory
• F5 Load Balancer, APM, ASM, I rule, IApp, LTM, GTM - mandatory
• Comprehensive hands-on experience on Fortinet firewalls - mandatory
• Cisco Switches & Routers (Cisco Nexus platform, Cisco 4500/6500 Series)
• Configuring, troubleshooting Riverbed Wan accelerators
• Cisco Wireless experience is a plus
• Willing to get upto speed on above technologies where individual do not have experience.
•   Knowledge on following technologies will be helpful.
• Brocade MLX, Foundry switches deployment and troubleshooting
• Network concepts and protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP, VRRP, WCCP, F5, Fortinet, Juniper, Load Balancers & WAN Accelerators.
• Configuring and troubleshooting switching technologies like STP, VTP, Multicast and QOS.
• Configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols including static, dynamic (BGP, OSPF and EIGRP) and PBR.
• Understanding of modern service provider TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to: MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP4, STP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.1ah, ADSL2+
• Working knowledge of structured cabling systems, network facilities, electrical, UPS, etc.

 Required Abilities:

 ·         Self-motivated, attitude of ownership, and a strong desire to learn

·         Customer service skills, communication skills, and a positive attitude

·         Ability to multi-task and prioritize work

·         JNCP, CCNP, CCIE preferred

Title                 : Network Security Engineer

Location           : Atlanta, GA

Duration           : 6 Months 

This position provides comprehensive security engineering expertise to identify risk across all business lines and propose network-based controls and mitigation strategies.  Responsible for the testing and planning of security hardware and software components, and partnering with operations organizations for deployment. Responsible for maintaining security appliances and applications in lower environments. Acts as an escalation point from lower tier support groups. Participates in the change management process to insure the ongoing security of the production environment.

The sustaining security engineer should have a strong, multidisciplinary telecommunications background along with experience in more traditional IT networks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Design work to insure the security of newly deployed applications and services.

·         Manage lab environments to maintain a secure test bed and evaluate security controls during application design/test phases.

·         Develop Standard MOPs, Work Packages, approved SW versions, assembling change requests for tested configurations and evaluating the feasibility and appropriateness other change requests as submitted.

·         Install, Configure, Test & Activate in First Office Application

·         Provide support to security operations organizations in the areas of ongoing lifecycle maintenance and new service deployments.

·         Create documentation supporting new deployments and existing legacy infrastructure

QUALIFICATIONS

·         5+ years of experience in information security

·         Strong understanding of the OSI model

·         Understanding of network security controls, including firewalls, ACLs, IPS/IDS, and application gateways.

·         Experience with AAA systems and VPN configurations.

·         Knowledge of proper security design philosophy

·         Extensive experience with firewalls, NG-firewalls, network and switching equipment

·         Strong foundation in dynamic routing protocols

                                               

Preferred

·         Certification preferred  JNCIP-SEC, CISSP

·         Experience with implementing solutions compliant with the PCI-DSS

·         Experience with virtualized environments

·         Experience with load balancer technologies

·         Experience with Juniper, Cisco and Palo Alto firewall technologies
