Role:    Lead Oracle DBA

Role

(Specific tasks and the role that the person will undertake)

            Manage 24/7 global L2 & L3 production support team for the Database infrastructure.

·         Develop effective and efficient operational policies, processes and procedures

·         Responsible for daily management of the Operational support, ensuring all forms of workload are managed in line with established processes and procedures

·         Primary  Contact for regional teams, internal/external auditors and regulators

·         Responsible for Infrastructure Project Mangement and Coordination

·         Performing capacity and demand planning with service provider and governance team including forecasting customer demand for all in-scope and new services

·         Primary contact on a daily basis regarding communication between client and service provider regarding service delivery changes, problems and recovery efforts

·         Responsible for assessment and approval of any on-boarding/off-boarding activities which may involve services,  products, users, processes, etc

·         Managing the transition phase of transferring the functional, technical and procedural knowledge into the service delivery team

 

Experience

(Relevant experience the person must have)       

·         11+  years of experience in IT Infrastructure area

·         Oversees all aspects and day-to-day activities of the service delivery function and support staff

·         Overseeing the entire operations of the function and ensuring services are delivered to meet, if not exceed customer expectations

·         Should be able to Collaborate globally with the business, vendor consultants, support groups, IT Infrastructure departments and other UBS business units

·         Responsible for Incident, Problem & Change management and RFS in Database Environment with in the Bank

·         Solid understanding of Oracle 10g/11g, RAC, Oracle Dataguard, Goldengate ASM, RMAN, OEM, Exadata and OID preferably.

·         Knowledge on performance tuning of database

·         Knowledge on Exports, Imports, Datapump, Rman.

·         Hands on experience on cloning of databases.

·         Hands on experience on databases restorations and recoveries.

·         Knowledge on RAC installation and maintenance.

·         Hands on experience on CPU patching and upgrades.

·         To work under minimal supervision and should be self driven      

·         Familiar with working in a project environment including planning, deliverables, progress tracking and reporting

·         Manage Key Infrastructure Project coordination including Infrastructure weekends, Patching exercises, Power down activities, BCM Tests, CTB Projects (internal or external), Data Center Moves etc…

·         Ability to articulate how business issues may impact overall IT services.

·         Provides functional, technical and process leadership within the team.

·         Escalations Point for high level service issues and resources

·         Periodic review of the Project Performance (Schedule, cost, quality) on a periodic basis

·         Experience in running Continuous Service Improvement Initiatives to bring efficiencies with in the team

·         Works with Service Manager on SLA Adherence analysis and actions items

                     DB Performance Management & Troubleshooting

                     High Avaliability and Disaster Recovery solutions in DB Environment

Position:- Release Manager

Job Description:

This position is for an experienced software engineer an interest in project management or information systems management who is eager to play an integral role on the Change and Release Management team. Primary responsibilities include coordinating release execution, planning upcoming release, associated reviews, approvals and other scheduled impacts to the various environments.  Coordinating with multiple development teams, projects and infrastructure teams to insure smooth integration of releases and components into both testing and production environments.  Review proposed release requests for accuracy and completeness, interfacing with multiple development teams to insure adherence to policies, accurate risk analysis, documentation and communications of release events. Responsibilities:

·         Coordinating release activities: executes day-to-day maintenance tasks, communicating, planning, risk analysis and documentation for all release events in multiple environments.

·         Review changes for impacts to other system components: collaborates with technical operations (infrastructure), engineering and application teams as well as both internal and external partners to understand and identify impact between systems and their components.

Qualifications:

Job Description for Life Science Quality and CSV Lead

Position Overview: 

This position is responsible for leading and performing activities in support of creating and maintaining GxP (GMP, GCP, GLP) quality and compliance environment. This position is also responsible for monitoring Computer System validation (CSV), Qualification activities (IQ,OQ,PQ) as well as compliance with 21 CFR Part 820 and 21 CFR Part 11.

1.            Leads the effort to manage, and/or maintains validation of the GxP computerized systems. Reviews validation documents such as IQ, OQ, PQ’s.

2.            Setup Quality Management System (QMS) to direct and control with regard to quality as per different regulatory (FDA) and ISO 9001 requirements. Create documented set of procedures and standards

3.            Prepare, review and approve procedures such as Backup and Recovery, Server Build, Anti-Virus, Asset Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Patch and Release Management, Performance Capacity Management, Physical Access and Security, Training Administration, Server Decommission, Account Management and other procedures as applicable

4.            Develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization.

5.            Assure compliance with GxP (GMP, GCP, GLP), Privacy, HIPAA requirements. Develops and maintains IT GxP compliance documentation.

6.            Ensure GxP Computerized Systems are validated as per GAMP -5 requirements.

7.            Plan, conduct and report routine GxP audits including third party audits.

8.            Lead the execution of the audit activities associated to GxP and appropriate applicable regulatory requirements. Enable team to be inspection ready and support a culture of sustainable compliance

9.            Participates in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Maintains quality metrics.
