Title of Position:SAP FICO Consultant

Location: New York City, NY

Role and Responsibility / Job Description:

Lead all data-related functional activities as part of the Global General Ledger (GL) Implementation across multiple countries.
Strategize the sourcing of data from various ledgers/ source systems to feed a Global GL Platform. The Sources may be on diverse platforms like SAP, Computron or Excel sheets.
Facilitate various mapping activities related to Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Branch and other Ledger Code Block Elements
Manually model data transformations to provide expected result set for financial user validation
Work with Regional business/IT teams to understand data availability/quality to
Work with Regional business/IT teams to understand data availability/quality to feed a trial balance upload feeding a Common source template
Help define Testing Approach and Strategy for Data Conversions/ transformations and related Reporting
Potentially establish and manage a team of data analysis/ modeling/ testing resources to support the overall effort

Skill Sets

Approx. 8-10 years of experience in working on Financial Systems and Ledgers. SAP/ERP expertise would be preferred
Finance Domain knowledge, especially around the FP&A and Accounting space will be a big plus
Strong Analytical Skills, should be proficient in handling huge volume of data
Should have sufficient team handling skills to
Should have sufficient team handling skills to distribute work effectively
Strong Communication skills to manage Stakeholders at various levels in the organization (Finance Leads/ Managers/ IT leads/ Solution Architects etc)
Ability to see the bigger picture (Source Ledgers, Global GL, Consolidation Systems, Data Warehouses, Cognos etc), instead on simply focusing on immediate deliverables
Re-engineering/ Solution-Oriented Approach to simplify, standardize and rationalize
