Linux Infrastructure Engineer (CMOD/ DB2/ Linux)
Location-Montreal, Canada
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
 
Description
We are looking for a Linux Infrastructure Operations candidate for a year project around some business analyst work with in the IBM OnDemand application with a strong understanding of DB2

Key Responsibilities:
·         Provide Tier 3 support and maintenance for IBM Content Manager OnDemand system
·         Participate in configure and system administration of software on Linux platform
·         Developing and maintaining shell/Perl scripts that facilitates ingestion, storing, releasing, and holding in CMOD through projects and maintenance

Qualifications:
·         Strong background in UNIX systems and administration mainly with Red Hat
·         Strong background in DB2 administration
·         Strong Shell / Perl scripting capabilities for Linux
·         Experience in proving production support in a 7x24 environment.
·         Experience creating detailed technical documents

Skills Desired:
·         Experience in Content Management systems (IBM CMOD)
·         Knowledge of common IT processes, including ITIL and SDLC
·         Good presentation, interpersonal, and written skills



Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Montreal, Canada

Description
We are looking for an infrastructure developer to develop administration and automation tools for the firm's Archiving Systems as well as enhance current toolset and automation strategy.
·         This is a global role with a scope encompassing a large number of storage devices and Linux hosts and clusters with DB2 databases. The team manages Firm?s archiving systems, including vendor (IBM Content Manager OnDemand) as well as in house built which are used globally across T&D teams. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team based in Montreal developing critical tools for the Content Management Systems (CMS) department.

Key Responsibilities:
·         Provide Tier 4 support and maintenance for IBM Content Manager OnDemand system
·         Participate in configure and system administration of software on Linux platform
·         Developing and maintaining shell/Perl scripts that facilitates ingestion, storing, releasing, and holding in CMOD through projects and maintenance
·         Produce, document and validate the integration test plan associated with the development of IT solutions
·         Participate and contribute in technical code review and documentation for existing and new applications
 
Qualifications
Skills Required:
·         Strong understanding of Redhat Linux operating systems and in particular storage & unix administration to support upgrade and implementation projects;
·         Experience with troubleshooting on the Linux platform
·         Strong Shell / Perl scripting capabilities for Linux for the development/enhancement of existing / new operational scripts used to manage / monitor Archive components.
·         At least 5 years of experience with at least one major DBMS product (DB2, MSSQL, Oracle);
·         Experience in proving production support in a 7x24 environment.
·         Experience creating detailed technical documents

Skills Desired:
·         Experience in Content Management systems (IBM CMOD, FileNet Image Services, Alfresco, Documentum)
·         Experience working and managing software on a large distributed environment
·         Knowledge of common IT processes, including ITIL and SDLC
·         Good presentation, interpersonal, and written skills

·         A team player with the ability to work in a demanding environment
