NetApp Storage Administrator

6+ Month Contract

Minimum 5 years IT experience including
3 or more years’ experience with SAN/NAS technology.
·
Experience with NetApp FAS series
filers, 7-Mode and C-DOT
·
Experience with NetApp CIFS and NFS
protocols
·
Experience managing NetApp backups
using snapshot and snapmirror
·
Experience with Brocade and Cisco SAN
switch configuration and administration.
·
Solid understanding of Operating System
principles, and proven track record configuring and troubleshooting Unix,
Linux, and Windows Server environments.
·
Comprehensive knowledge of storage
networks, storage devices, storage resource management, and data management
concepts, technologies, and practices.
·
Ability to work with and coordinate
multiple technical resources.
·
Exemplary problem analysis and
resolution.
·
Excellent written and verbal skills.
·
Desire to learn, take the initiative,
and assume responsibility.
·
Ability to follow documented practices
and procedures.
·
Ability to follow direction with a
minimum of supervision.
·
Ability to produce clear comprehensive
documentation.
This position is responsible for the
installation, setup, technical operation and administration of enterprise
storage systems throughout United’s storage environment. The position involves
managing a variety of storage related tasks, assigned individually or as part
of a team, efficiently with a minimum of supervision. A team member in this
position will ensure that support expectations are maintained or exceeded to
accommodate United’s business requirements.
Duties
include:

Working with various teams within
United’s enterprise operations division to support the ongoing services,
capacity planning, and performance management responsibilities of the Storage
Team.
·
Storage Area Network (SAN)
administration and support including storage utilization/capacity planning.
·
Performance of daily SAN activity
monitoring and troubleshooting.
·
Assisting in the implementation and
documentation of all configuration changes and change requests.
·
Assistance with the planning,
implementation, and operation of advanced storage systems and technologies as
they apply to United’s SAN, NAS, and data protection environments.
·
Ensuring the performance of all
services provided by the Storage Team meet or exceed defined service levels.
·
Participation in root-cause analysis of
significant problems when necessary.
·
Adherence to United’s storage strategy as
it relates to designing, building, and delivering SAN, NAS, and data protection
solutions.
