Base Location : Orlando, FL

Network Specialist – Level III

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Selected Responsibilities

      i.        Setup, Configure, and Support internal and/or external Networks and Maintain all systems, Applications, security, and Network Configurations (data and voice Network)

     ii.        Research, analyze, Design, test, and implement Data & Voice Networks systems

    iii.        Perform Network design Upgrades and Hardware reconfigurations

    iv.        Provide technical support to network Service Desk or customer operations, if requested

     v.        Assist with Network studies, traffic analyses and the preparation of forecasts

    vi.        Recommend modifications to the Network Configurations that reduce costs or improve service

   vii.        Provide expert level hands on Network infrastructure Support for the enterprise-wide data communications network

  viii.        Perform Installation, Configuration, Maintenance and operation of Network equipment, Cabling system, Monitoring Software and specialty Appliances

    ix.        Resolve networking issues involving complex Configuration and technical depth

     x.        Recommend, Design and implement solutions for data Network Projects

    xi.        Perform resource based Capacity planning and management for Network systems

   xii.        Collaborate with security team to identify ways to improve network security

  xiii.        Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercise activities

  xiv.        Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department

   xv.        Manage one or more Network administration projects

  xvi.        Design and implement local and Wide Area Network solutions, including security, Capacity planning, backup and recovery and disaster planning

xvii.        Experienced with technical architecture planning, deployment, and troubleshooting

xviii.        Able to manage a team of technicians and specialists and to serve as the last level of support in troubleshooting network usage and equipment

  xix.        Manage multiple network administration projects

   xx.        Participate in internal & external audit activities

Qualifications

      i.     BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems Management, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience

     ii.     > 7 years of experience with Certification such as CNE, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, CCVP, CCIE and others desired

    iii.     Experience working in large network environments (10,000+ nodes) with Cisco, Juniper or Aruba networking equipment

    iv.     Advanced understanding of common network protocols including SNMP, RIP, IPS, EIGRP

     v.     Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, WhatsUP Gold, CiscoWorks)

    vi.     Expert knowledge of internet, intranet and extranet systems design (security, content management, eCommerce, web and application servers)

   vii.     Expert knowledge of replication, backup and disaster recovery design

  viii.     Expert knowledge of system sizing, capacity planning and performance tuning, and storage and area network architecture
